Marie finished high school in 1955, and worked at Mike's café in Paynesville and other cafes throughout the years. She retired from Tuck's Café in Paynesville after 25 years.

She always looked forward to the family 4th of July picnic every year and was happy to see all the family. She met everyone with a big smile.

Marie enjoyed playing dice and bingo. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.

Marie resided in Paynesville all of her adult life until 2013, when she moved to the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Lena; siblings,
Vera, Vernon, Marvin, Jimmy, Betty, and Vincent; nephews, Scott and Allen.

She is survived by her many nieces and nephews; and many special friends that came into her life.
