Agnes Walz

Agnes T. Walz, 100 of St. Cloud, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the St. Benedict Senior Community in St. Cloud. A mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:30 AM at the St. Benedict Senior Community Chapel. Fr. Gerald Dalseth officiated. Interment was in the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in St. Nicholas. Casket bearers were Bernie Lommel, Kenneth Lommel, Jerry Lommel, Donald Lommel, David Waltzing and Daniel Kenning. Arrangements were with the Ertl Funeral Home, Watkins.
Agnes Walz was born on October 5, 1916 at Watkins to Albert and Mary (Grossinger) Walz. She grew up and received her education in the Watkins area. She worked for many years as a priest's housekeeper. In the early 1980's, Agnes became a resident at the St. Benedict Senior Community and she kept herself busy as a volunteer for many activities. She also enjoyed playing cards.
Agnes is survived by her nieces and nephews, Helen (Lawrence) Waltzing of Kimball, Diane Kenning of St. Augusta, Bernard (Charlot) Lommel of St. Cloud, Jerry (Rosey) Lommel of Waite Park, Donald (Sharon) Lommel of Clear Lake and Kenneth (Karen) Lommel of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sr. Alberta Walz, Sr. Margaret Mary Walz, Sr. Frances Walz, Sr. Vernita Walz, Sr. Mary Louise Walz, Wilhelmina Walz, Helen Lommel, John Walz, Paul Walz; nephew, Robert Lommel.
